WIDE RECEIVERS DID A NICE JOB OVERALL

Florida State wide receivers coach Ron Dugans was busy this offseason acquiring talent for his position room. He secured four prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle with Camdon Frier, Lawayne McCoy, BJ Gibson, and Elijah Moore. Plus, they got two transfers in Malik Benson (Alabama) and Jalen Brown (LSU).

Norvell had previous concerns about the wide receivers dealing with drops. The position unit is having to replace big-bodied options such as Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman as they declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.

The coaching staff is very high on wide receiver transfer Malik Benson. I am very high on the transfer where I think there is a realistic chance of becoming a number one option. Norvell talked about how Benson had his best day of spring. That is encouraging for the success of this offense.

He also mentioned that Hykeem Williams had some nice plays. It is huge to see that the former five-star prospect is taking a step forward from Year 1 to Year 2. His body has already been transformed this offseason.

Just when you thought it could not get better, true freshman options Lawayne McCoy and Camdon Frier had big catches. The future of the position seems to be in good hands.
