Florida State football fans want prospects in the 2025 recruiting cycle after the program has not secured a commitment since January when four-star defensive end Javion Hilson from Cocoa, Florida flipped his pledge with the Alabama Crimson Tide after legendary coach Nick Saban shockingly retired.

Other than Hilson, they have prospects committed such as five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr., and four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard.

The 2025 recruiting class for Florida State will most likely consist of a variety of prospects in the offensive and defensive trenches. The line of scrimmage is important when building the foundation of a program.

One prospect that we mentioned to monitor for the 2025 recruiting cycle was four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia, who was originally committed to the arch-rival Florida Gators.

On Thursday afternoon, Joseph backed off his pledge from the Gators. The talented offensive lineman has now received two crystal ball predictions in favor of the Florida State Seminoles. This could be a massive development for the program as Joseph has a family tie to the Seminoles as his cousin is current offensive lineman TJ Ferguson.

As we alluded to in multiple articles, the Seminoles will be attempting to grab more prospects on the offensive line as current players such as Robert Scott Jr., Darius Washington, Maurice Smith, Jeremiah Byers, Richie Leonard IV, and Keiondre Jones will be graduating after the 2024 season.

Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins does a tremendous job in putting his recruiting hat on for the program. While he has been successful with acquiring prospects, the biggest concern is that Atkins has tended to rely upon transfers rather than the recruits that he has picked up. That narrative could change in the coming years.
