Is 4-star RB target Alvin Henderson trending in a positive direction for the Noles?
FSU football has constructed a nice foundation within their 2025 recruiting class. The Seminoles have obtained two offensive prospects in five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas and four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr.
However, the coaching staff is far from over with acquiring highly-touted prospects on the offensive side of the football. As fans are quite aware, Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell's offensive scheme revolves around their ability to run the football at an effective level.
Florida State has had the privilege of having the services of redshirt running back junior Trey Benson who has accumulated 1,895 yards and 25 touchdowns during his two-year playing career with the Seminoles. However, the former Oregon transfer has now declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. It must rely on pieces such as Roydell Williams, Lawrence Toafili, Caziah Holmes, Jaylin Lucas, Sam Singleton, Kam Davis, and Micahi Danzy.
Great programs such as Florida State, that are trying to maintain a high level of success, have to continue to grab talent at the position regardless of how the running back room is at the current moment.
The Seminoles are highly involved with three running back prospects in 2025 recruiting cycle such as four-star Alvin Henderson, four-star Ousmane Kromah, and four-star Byron Louis.
Speaking of Henderson, the Elba (AL) standout had received a crystal ball prediction in favor of the home-state Auburn Tigers back in June 2023 after he unofficially visited their campus. However, he still decided to not commit to the university.
His main recruiter at Auburn was former running back coach Cadallic Williams, who recently resigned from the program about two weeks ago. This ultimately opens up the door for Florida State to take advantage.
Henderson posted a picture on his Twitter (X) account featuring him with head football coach Mike Norvell and running backs coach David Johnson.
This is a running back prospect that the Seminoles cannot pass up. During the 2023 season, Henderson had 225 rushing attempts for 3,523 rushing yards and 61 touchdowns. If Florida State can get him out of the state of Alabama, that would be massive for this coaching staff in terms of perception amongst the recruits.
