FSU Twitter (X) reacts to McKenzie Milton's Tennessee Volunteers post

Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell has had a ton of success in the transfer portal with bringing in quality veterans to help the construction of his roster. However, it has not always been rainbows and sunshine when it came to his transfer portal pickups.

One controversial pickup was UCF transfer quarterback McKenzie Milton, who suffered through lower-body injuries that ultimately derailed his career and it became apparent that Milton was not the same caliber of player that he used to be.

During the 2021 season with the Seminoles, Milton struggled mightily as he completed 81 of his 139 passes (58.3%) with 775 passing yards and three touchdowns to go along with six interceptions.

Even though the conversation with the former UCF Knight was positive early on with his late-game heroics in the thrilling overtime matchup versus Notre Dame, Seminole fans quickly saw that he was not equipped to be a starting quarterback at Florida State.

With that being said, I respect Milton a ton for overcoming the unthinkable and challenging himself to play the game of football even with the risk of almost losing his leg. I cannot even begin fathom what he and his loved ones had to go through.

However, quarterback Jordan Travis elevated himself into the starting role later on during the year and the rest was history. But what happened with McKenzie Milton?

Well, Milton joined Tennessee's staff last year as an offensive analyst. The Seminole fan base is still having a difficult time navigating through their emotions about what transpired in last night's baseball game versus the Volunteers. However, McKenzie Milton caught the wrath of FSU Twitter (X) after commenting about Tennessee.

The Florida State football/baseball fan base let him have it on social media with the retweets.

It is all fun and games until you mess with Florida State Twitter (X). In all honesty, McKenzie Milton should have known better. As individuals such as Kirk Herbstreit and Greg McElroy, Seminole fans never forget.
