Florida State does not have a tight-end prospect committed to their 2025 recruiting class. However, the Seminoles seem to keep their options open with adding one at the position. Florida State is having to replace veteran Jaheim Bell in their offense for 2024, who was their third-leading receiver.

The tight end position has always been valued by head football coach Mike Norvell. He believes that they can line up as in-line blockers, in-line receivers, on the outside, in the slot, and even in the backfield.

Veteran Kyle Morlock is looking to be the starting tight end in the offense this upcoming year. Former four-star prospect Landen Thomas could be a candidate to be the number two option this early in his career. Thomas was a recruit who was originally committed to Florida State before flipping to Georgia and then he flipped back to the Seminoles before Signing Day (recruiting is crazy).

Could the Seminoles work their magic again? According to a report from On3's Chad Simmons, Florida State is still pursuing the likes of Class of 2025 five-star tight end Elyiss Williams from Folkston, Georgia even though he is committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.

That was a thought that he could potentially flip to the Seminoles with his string of unofficial visits to campus. However, he told reporters that he was still firm in his pledge to Kirby Smart and company. The 6'7" and 235-pound playmaker is a mismatch for opposing defenders to contain.

As I alluded to in a previous article, Florida State is also involved with four-star tight end Hollis Davidson, who recently de-committed from the Auburn Tigers. Davidson is scheduled to official visit during the big June 21st recruiting weekend where all four commitments for the Seminoles will be on campus.

Could the Seminoles try to obtain both Davidson and Williams? Or will they try to get the most obtainable to ensure they get one of the options?
