The 2023 FSU football season was one of what could have been. FSU went undefeated (13-0) and won the ACC for the first time since 2014 but got robbed of the chance to compete for a National Championship. The team was perfect but rarely played up to its capabilities, especially offensively, due to injuries at receiver and the loss of quarterback Jordan Travis near the end of the season. It was a season filled with adversity and perseverance. However, they played together as a team and found ways to win. Many of those players have exited the program for the NFL, with 10 guys drafted in April.

However, Mike Norvell and the staff have done a phenomenal job developing high school talent and acquiring top talent from the transfer portal. Mike Norvell likes where this team is, as they are just over a week away from their season opener against Georgia Tech. There is top-notch competition at nearly every position. There is growing confidence as narratives at different positions continue to develop. This team isn't perfect on paper, but has a high upside. Here are my top five concerns going into the 2024 season.
