FLORIDA IOL RICHIE LEONARD IV

I certainly understand the fact that the arch-rival Florida Gators were not a good team in 2023 where they failed to obtain bowl eligibility where they lost to Florida State in the regular season finale by a score of 24-15 with backup Tate Rodemaker.

However, Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has started to gain some traction in the transfer portal this offseason where he had already picked up Alabama's Terrence "TJ" Ferguson. He has now acquired Florida's Richie Leonard IV over the weekend.

While I am not suggesting that Leonard IV will be a starting offensive lineman for the Seminoles. He is most certainly going to be a depth piece for Florida State. He started all twelve games for the Gators at the left guard position. The talented offensive lineman will have one more year of eligibility.

This will allow the younger offensive linemen in the position room another year to develop. Plus, Leonard IV played well last season for the Gators.

I am not suggesting that Leonard IV will be an All-ACC type of lineman next season. However, he is an experienced veteran who has played a ton of snaps in the SEC.
