DE MARVIN JONES JR.

Florida State fans were super excited when the Seminoles' coaching staff were able to land Georgia sophomore defensive end transfer Marvin Jones Jr. The talented pass rusher's father was Marvin Jones Sr., who played linebacker for the Seminoles between 1990-1992.

The younger Jones did not have much of an impact during his two-year playing career with the Georgia Bulldogs where he only recorded 16 total tackles and 2 sacks. However, the Seminoles have meaningful snaps up for grabs as redshirt junior defensive end Jared Verse decided to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Jones Jr. was a former five-star prospect in the Class of 2022. Florida State was heavily interested at the time in the talented South Florida native. However, he decided to sign with the Georgia Bulldogs due to how they were developing players in the NFL.

In today's college football landscape, the transfer portal is something that is being utilized at a high rate. Once Jones Jr. did not see a meaningful amount of opportunities, he announced his intentions to sign with Florida State.

Fans should be very excited to play with Shade Tree's son in the video game and have opposing offensive lines fearing the legacy prospect, just like his father.
