AMARRE WILLIAMS

As I alluded to in a previous article, 247Sports Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong reported that 2025 four-star defensive end Amarre Williams from The Benjamin School in West Palm Beach (FL) will be reclassifying to 2024 and will be officially visiting Florida State this weekend.

This is massive for this coaching staff, especially considering that five-star defensive lineman Armondo Blount has canceled his official visit with the Seminoles this weekend and will be making a trip down to Coral Gables.

It is great to see that head football coach Mike Norvell and company have a plan in place when things tend to go sideways in recruiting. The Seminoles certainly need defensive linemen in their recruiting class since they only have four-star defensive end DD Holmes and three-star defensive tackle Jamorie Flagg in the fold.

If the Noles can find a way to get Williams to sign on December 20th, it would do wonders for a defensive line that will be losing the likes of Jared Verse, Fabien Lovett Sr., Braden Fiske, and Dennis Briggs Jr. at the end of this season.
