FSU football: Fans react to first two 2024 game kickoff times and TV options
By Kelvin Hunt
The 2024 FSU football season will get underway in a few short months when FSU travels across the pond for the first time to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in Dublin, Ireland. It's a game FSU fans have anticipated for some time, and the Noles should have a strong showing, especially with ESPN's Game Day planning to be in attendance. It'll be the first time FSU fans will have the opportunity to see the likes of Kirk Herbstreit in person after the College Football Playoff snub in December. Tuesday, FSU learned what time that game would take place, as well as the second game on the schedule against Boston College. It should come as no surprise that the box office boys are back in action again in prime time when they return from across the sea. The Georgia Tech game will kick off at noon, but that's mainly because there's a five-hour time difference between Ireland and the East Coast. Ireland is five hours ahead.
Fan Reaction
FSU fans understand the importance of FSU's brand and its ability to garner prime-time TV slots. I'm interested to see what a night program at Doak Campbell Stadium will look like this fall with all of the renovations taking place. There will be significantly fewer fans in attendance, but it'll give a good barometer of what to expect for major home games. FSU will host Boston College, Memphis, California, Clemson, North Carolina, Charleston Southern, and Florida in 2024. I'd expect the Clemson, North Carolina, and Florida games to be at capacity this year. There's a good chance FSU could go into the Clemson game undefeated again and is betting favorites in every game except at Notre Dame, according to most betting sites. FSU opened as a -23 betting favorite against Georgia Tech. Do you think the Noles cover that spread?
