FSU football fans react to blue-chip CJ Wiley committing to FSU over UGA
By Kelvin Hunt
The 2025 FSU football recruiting class is heating up with two new additions in as many days. Blue-chip defensive tackle Kevin Wynn committed to the Noles on Monday, and FSU fans learned blue-chip wide receiver CJ Wiley committed to the Noles over UGA and others on Tuesday. Wiley took an official visit to FSU over the weekend but had several crystal ball predictions to the Georgia Bulldogs leading up to his commitment. He checks in as the No. 136 player nationally, No. 15 wide receiver, and No. 19 player in the Peach State. Wiley lists at 6'4 and 200 pounds, hailing from Alpharetta, Georgia. LSU, Auburn, and USC were other places he took official visits to this summer. Wiley is the big receiver FSU needs in this recruiting class, with a huge catch radius and sub-11 second speed in the 100 meters. He had 68 receptions for 1,473 yards and 14 TDs on 21.7 yards per catch as a junior. Wiley is the first 2025 wide receiver to commit to FSU and the sixth blue-chip player in the class.

Quick Thoughts
I'm sure FSU football fans still have PTSD from the KJ Bolden recruitment in the last recruiting cycle. Bolden committed to FSU for months before flipping to home state Georgia Bulldogs in the Early Signing Period. However, he took an official visit and brought his entire family with him shortly before. FSU has beaten Georgia for some high-profile players recently. Luke Kromenhoek, Kameron Davis, and Landen Thomas were all blue-chip players from Georgia who committed and signed with FSU. Will FSU hold on to Wiley's commitment? We'll have to let it play out, but it's better to have him than not. He's a great talent and FSU has a proven track record with large wide receivers. Stay tuned, there's more on the way!
