FSU football getting snubbed continues to be a topic among fans and podcasts over five months later. FSU Athletic Director Michael Alford unveiled something he hadn't mentioned in a recent podcast. Alford had never shared when he thought FSU might not make the College Football Playoff. However, he discussed when the possibility began to become reality, but when he was fairly sure it wouldn't happen for the Noles.
At what moment did Michael Alford have a hunch that @FSUFootball was going to get left out of the 2023 College Football Playoff?

He told that story to @dannykanell & @DustyDvoracek.

Sounds like he’s accusing espn of advance notice of the playoff selections and assigning reporters based on that advance knowledge. 🙄 🤦🏽♂️ He might want to reconsider that. https://t.co/1W2YqmvmEO

The only problem with that Rod is there's a ton of evidence to suggest ESPN knew things ahead of time leading up to the snub. Was it a coincidence ESPN already knew what helmets to put in the background when announcing the College Football Rankings? Tell you what. How about having ESPN and everyone involved release all of the documents leading up to how teams got selected and how that got communicated to the TV show? After all, the Florida Attorney General asked for those things months ago, and they've yet to be turned over. I wonder why Rod? What would become available if that took place? If there was nothing to hide, it should be easy to prove ESPN wasn't involved in any collusion to get another SEC team in the College Football Playoff and leave FSU out. There's a lot of smoke there Rod, and it's one reason why FSU and the ACC will settle their lawsuit out of court and not go into the discovery process. If anyone needs to reconsider anything, it's ESPN.
