FSU football: Doak Campbell Stadium will be sold out in contest versus Boston College
Florida State football lost to Georgia Tech in its season opener versus Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland on Saturday afternoon by a score of 24-21. The Seminole faithful has to be disappointed in the performance as the squad lost as a 10.5-point favorite.
Florida State accomplished an undefeated regular season and a conference championship in 2023. However, many of its leaders were from that version of the Seminoles.
The Seminoles were confused and lost at times during the loss, which seemed unexcusable for a program that is under the guidance of head football coach Mike Norvell.
It seemed like the fan base could be finished with the program this year as it looked underwhelming in the national spotlight with five million viewers watching live.
Florida State is now turning its attention to the Boston College Eagles. This is a team that they struggled with last season where they barely escaped Chestnut Hill with a 31-29 victory. Dual-threat quarterback Thomas Castellanos gave them fits. It is worrisome since signal-caller Haynes King showed the ability to run last week.
Fans on social media seem like they are ready to give up on the season for the Seminoles and the sky is falling in Tallahassee. In the wise words of NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers: "R-E-L-A-X!"
However, on Wednesday morning, that notion of individuals being finished with Florida State might have given up on head football coach Mike Norvell's program, the Seminoles' social media team announced that Florida State fans have officially sold out Doak Campbell Stadium on Labor Day night for its contest versus Boston College.
While it might seem like a small feat given that the stadium holds a capacity of 55,000 due to renovations that won't be completed until the 2025 season opener, it is still an accomplishment given that individuals want to see this football team compete after the loss and on Labor Day night when most individuals have to go to work/school the following day.
