FSU football: Alabama IOL transfer TJ Ferguson II trending to the Noles
FSU football has done an exceptional job of acquiring high-quality talent in the transfer portal thus far in the offseason. However, the coaching staff has made an emphasis on continuing to grab more talent to stockpile depth at a variety of positions.
As I alluded to in a previous article, there was a shockwave sent to the college football landscape as Alabama head football coach Nick Saban announced that he was retiring. There have even been reports from ESPN Senior Writer Pete Thamel that Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell could even be a candidate for the Crimson Tide.
Florida State has already made its presence known by recruiting other members of the Alabama football team on its roster with wide receiver Malik Benson and cornerback Earl Little Jr. Plus, the Seminoles have an upcoming visit coming soon with running back Roydell Williams.
To make matters even better, Alabama redshirt sophomore interior offensive lineman transfer Terrence "TJ" Ferguson II received a crystal ball prediction on Wednesday night in favor of the Florida State Seminoles from Noles247 Contributor Zach Blostein.
The 6'4", 320-pound offensive lineman will have two years of eligibility remaining. Ferguson was a four-star prospect in the Class of 2021 from Peach County High School in Fort Valley (GA). Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins heavily recruiting him while he was in high school.
As it stands right now, the Seminoles have Robert Scott Jr., Maurice Smith, Jeremiah Byers, Keiondre Jones, and Darius Washington who have meaningful snaps in 2023. However, they have to replace Bless Harris, D'Mitri Emmanuel, and Casey Roddick for next season.
I believe that Ferguson II would be a tremendous pickup for the Seminoles as they look to add proven talent to the offensive line. Florida State is suddenly becoming an Alabama Crimson Tide pipeline.
