FSU football: ACC Power Rankings after week two (2024)

It's crazy how long the offseason was only to watch these weeks go by so quickly(FSU fans might be happy about the latter). Nevertheless, we have two weeks in the books, and we're already beginning to have clarity about who the contenders and pretenders will be in the ACC. I knew we'd see a shakeup sooner or later, and why I said don't hold my feet to the fire with the rankings after one week. 

Miami played another inferior team and did what they were supposed to do. The same goes for Louisville, but those two teams will match up in a month. Georgia Tech and SMU have already exposed themselves as pretenders. Syracuse looks solid under new head coach Fran Brown, and NC State got destroyed by Tennessee. Virginia came from behind to beat Wake Forest, and Califonia pulled a massive upset over Auburn on the road as +11.5 betting underdogs! Clemson smashed Appalachian State and looked to have found their offense. I think their game against Georgia was more about Georgia's defense than how bad Clemson was offensively. Nevertheless, some big changes after last week:

There are no ACC conference games in the upcoming week, but there are still some big questions. Can FSU finally get a win hosting Mike Norvell's old Memphis team? Boston College enters the top 25 only to travel to face No. 6 Missouri(can't tell me this wasn't set up to help the SEC). Miami plays another cupcake in Ball State. Ole Miss travels to play Wake Forest and an old ACC matchup between Virginia and Maryland takes place. The rest of the games offer little to care about.
