Week four of the college football season is already in the books, and the ACC Power Rankings will see their first big shake-up. The ACC saw several ACC matchups and some out-of-conference matchups against other Power Four teams. Miami remains undefeated after pulling away from South Florida late. They'll have their first ACC game in week five when they host the Virginia Tech Hokies on short rest Thursday night.

Standford derailed the Syracuse hype train with a big road win as a +9.5 betting underdog. FSU rudely welcomed California to the ACC and ended their undefeated season. Louisville pulled away from Georgia Tech late to remain undefeated. Clemson looks to have found themselves after the season-opening loss against Georgia. They molly-whopped NC State in the first half and played backups in the second half. North Carolina got embarrassed by James Madison, allowing 70 points. I was at that game, and it felt like James Madison would score 100.

Virginia took care of business against Coastal Carolina, and Virginia Tech lost a close game against Rutgers. Pittsburgh looks reborn in 2024 after an abysmal 2023. They scored 73 against Youngtown State to remain undefeated. Duke remained undefeated with a win over Middle Tennessee. SMU dropped 66 points against TCU, and Boston College beat Michigan State.
