Recruiting

When it comes to recruiting offensive players from the transfer portal, I've mentioned FSU needs help at offensive line and wide receiver. The coaching staff may be in the market for a running back since they lost Trey Benson to the NFL Draft and Rodney Hill to the transfer portal. A team with a proven quarterback from the portal likely gives you a better shot to attract higher-end talent than two quarterbacks with two career starts to their credit.

FSU coaches have shown interest in some receivers and offensive linemen thus far. I expect the addition of DJ Uiagalelei to improve their chances of landing quality offensive players. After all, Oregon State had two receivers with over 44 receptions and over 700 receiving yards in 2023. Oregon State's offense was explosive, averaging 6.45 yards per play, which ranked No. 23 nationally. His addition could also help land some quality defensive players, since it gives an indication FSU will likely be a team capable of winning 9+ games in 2024.
