FSU football got its 2024 fall camp underway on Wednesday, and you can read a quick recap of Mike Norvell's thoughts here. It's an important time for the football team as they began preparations for Georgia Tech in a month. FSU has several new players who arrived this summer, a few from the transfer portal and several from the high school ranks. FSU lost a lot of firepower from last year's team but returned a lot of experience because they played some younger guys last season and brought in experienced players from the portal. I know folks will point to the caliber of players lost, but FSU still has one of the most talented rosters in the ACC. On paper, they may not have the highest blue-chip ratio, but the player development at FSU is so outstanding that they have three stars making All-ACC.

Jordan Travis, Shyheim Brown, Tatume Bethune, Darius Washington, Renardo Green, and Maurice Smith are prime examples from last season. They also added several former blue-chip players from the transfer portal. Players like DJ Uiagalelei, Marvin Jones Jr., Earl Little Jr., Shawn Murphy, Jalen Brown, and TJ Ferguson were all top 100 players nationally. FSU has many guys who'll play key roles this season. Several could be difference-makers, and I don't necessarily mean guys that will become top NFL Draft picks. It could be someone with huge production or a big depth piece. Here are five players who could become difference-makers with a strong 2024 fall camp.
