FSU football has secured the third-best recruiting class in the 2024 cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. The coaching staff has done a tremendous job in accumulating talent at various positions.

One committed prospect that made his way to Tallahassee this weekend for an official visit was four-star running back Kameron Davis from Dougherty High School in Albany (GA), who has been verbally pledged to the program since February 25, 2021. The talented back has visited the campus three times in the last month. He has been one of the Seminoles' biggest recruiters.

Davis conducted an exit meeting with a variety of media members before he departed Tallahassee from his official visit. He was asked about four-star defensive end target Amarre Williams, who recently reclassified for the 2024 cycle: "I feel like we (FSU) are in a good position for him."

Williams officially visited the campus this weekend. Unfortunately, the coaching staff received disappointing news as five-star defensive end commit Armondo Blount canceled his official visit with Florida State and decided to visit Miami instead. All signs indicate that Blount will likely decommit from the Seminoles and sign with the Hurricanes on December 20th.

According to Williams' statistics on 247Sports, he recorded 34 total tackles (eight tackles for loss), four sacks, two fumble recoveries, and an interception during the 2023 season. He also showcased his versatility where he had 16 receptions for 424 yards and seven touchdowns.

Overall, it seems promising that the Benjamin School standout could be signing with Florida State soon. While his 6'4", 215-pound frame needs to be developed and groomed at the collegiate level, it is great to see the coaching staff have a great opportunity to snag a top-200 prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle.

Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell and company are certainly building something special in Tallahassee.
