FSU football is currently listed as having the tenth-best recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. The Seminoles have signed 22 prospects thus far.

The college football recruiting landscape has drastically over the years and the Early Signing Period in December has been the time that a variety of schools have circled for prospects to sign to their program.

The February signing period seems to be a thing of the past where more and more prospects are signing with the school of their choice earlier so that a portion of them can get acclimated to the practices as well as the strength and conditioning program of the university that they selected.

The Seminoles have a solid recruiting class with loads of talent such as four-star quarterback Luke Kromenhoek, four-star running back Kameron Davis, four-star tight end Landen Thomas, and four-star cornerback Charles Lester III. However, most fans will point to the misses of five-star safety KJ Bolden (Georgia), five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State), and five-star defensive lineman LJ McCray (Florida).

There was even a portion of the fan base that was expressing concern about not being able to land four-star defensive end Amarre Williams. The talented pass rusher reclassified from the 2025 recruiting cycle to 2024. He even officially visited on December 15th, which was the final weekend before the Early Signing Period began on December 20th.

Most individuals thought that Williams was a lock to sign with the Seminoles. However, he elected to wait until February to sign with the school of his choice. It began to create a negative sense of energy that Williams might not end up in Tallahassee.

On Thursday afternoon, Wiliams received two crystal ball predictions in favor of Florida State from 247Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong and Noles247 Contributor Zach Blostein.

Florida State currently only has one defensive end signed in their 2024 recruiting class with four-star Daniel "DD" Holmes. As a result, this would be a massive acquisition for the Seminoles if this were to happen.
