FSU football: 3 underrated offensive weapons for the Seminoles in 2024
RB SAMUEL SINGLETON JR.
Florida State is having to replace the likes of talented running back Trey Benson, who was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Benson meant a ton to the Seminoles where he was responsible for generating long-yardage gains to have the offense become explosive when everything wasn't clicking properly. It seemed like the former Oregon transfer was just what Florida State needed.
However, as it went with the other big-time contributors, the Seminoles are required to replace them. As a result, they decided to add pieces via the transfer portal this offseason in Indiana's Jaylin Lucas and Alabama's Roydell Williams, who will both be pivotal parts to the Seminoles' offense.
It is also worth mentioning that Florida State has other contributors such as Lawrance Toafili, Caziah Holmes, Kameron Davis, and Micahi Danzy. However, it seems like individuals always seem to forget about redshirt freshman Samuel Singleton Jr. The former four-star prospect has started to garner some attention.
Norvell has made it a priority to discuss him after scrimmage where he has raved about the big runs that he has had. While Singleton Jr. has not played a meaningful snap in college, that could change this season. Even though the running back rotation is loaded, this could be an opportunity for him to find his role in the offense in 2024.
