Florida State football was defeated by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets by a score of 24-21 in Dublin, Ireland. This result was a shock to a ton of individuals.

This is a proud Seminoles program that was coming off an undefeated regular season and a conference championship. On top of that, Florida State was trying to prove the doubters wrong after being left out of the College Football Playoff in December in favor of a one-loss Alabama squad.

As we navigate through the week, most of the Seminole fan base doesn't know what they watched on Saturday. However, Florida State cannot dwell on it for too long as Boston College is coming to town on Labor Day night in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the game opened where Florida State was favored by 17.5, but the spread is now at 15.5.

This is a 2024 version of Florida State that has a lot of newcomers. It might take a while for this group to get acclimated to each other, but I want to highlight three reasons why the Seminoles should be able to cover the point spread.
