FSU football coaches have 12 commitments in its 2025 recruiting cycle after the addition of four-star receiver Daylan McCutcheon Saturday afternoon. Amazingly, 11 of the 12 commits are blue-chip players, with FSU holding one of the highest per-player-average ranking nationally at 92.89. FSU has already filled several important roles in the class. They have the quarterback, two outstanding defensive tackles, a top defensive end, two wide receivers, a tight end, two offensive linemen, two defensive backs, and a linebacker. FSU coaches have solidified arguably the most important positions in its recruiting class.

They addressed the trenches on both sides and got its third blue-chip quarterback in as many recruiting cycles. They've hit on most of their top-receiving targets and have two outstanding defensive back prospects after taking one of the best secondary hauls nationally last year. This class is far from complete, but it's outstanding, with likely less than 10 realistic high school targets remaining. The 2025 recruiting class could be smaller than the 2024 class (23 high school players), depending on how things shake out. Of course, they need to hang on to the players they have, but these are the three positions they need to continue addressing before the Early Signing Period.
