FSU football: 3 must's for the Seminoles in home game versus Boston College
1. USE RB/KR JAYLIN LUCAS IN THE OFFENSE
Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell met with the media after Wednesday's practice, he stated that it was unfortunate that he was not able to get running back Jaylin Lucas to be a bigger part of the game on Saturday.
Lucas finished with two carries for 13 yards, one reception for 5 yards, and one kickoff return for 16 yards during the game. The former Indiana transfer is a difference-maker with his elite speed in the open field and probably could have been a weapon that Florida State needed.
Lucas is a gadget player, but every team needs that spark plug when nothing isn't going right. It felt like he could have been utilized in the slot where he could have burnt opposing linebackers and safeties over the middle of the field.
As we navigated through the rest of the season, it looked like Norvell felt like he missed an opportunity by using Lucas in the offense. It could have been the difference between a win and a loss on Saturday.
