FSU football: 3 major transfer portal needs post 2024 Seminole Showcase
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football held its Seminole Showcase Saturday afternoon inside Doak Campbell Stadium. It was the first time we've seen the Noles in action since the Orange Bowl, and there was a lot to like regarding the 2024 roster. I provided five major takeaways here. FSU coaches have done a great job assembling talent to replace the most FSU guys heading to the NFL since the 2015 draft class. Spring camp has been an opportunity for those new players to solidify themselves on the depth chart, and we've seen several transfers like Malik Benson, Marvin Jones Jr., Earl Little Jr., and Jaylen Lucas already carve out spots.
Other guys have had solid springs, which will likely impact others leaving the team to enter the transfer portal. I gave my thoughts on FSU's transfer portal recruiting a couple of days ago here. I expect things to heat up quickly as guys exit the program, and the spring game helped highlight some areas where FSU likely still needs depth and experience if they want to make another run at the College Football Playoff. Here are three major needs from the transfer portal post-FSU spring game.
