FSU football: 3 BOLD predictions for Clemson game
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football will reach the halfway mark in what has already been a long season on Saturday night when the Noles host the Clemson Tigers. The game lost all of its luster, Clemson getting molly-whopped in their season opener against Georgia, and FSU losing four of its first five games. Regardless, the two biggest brands in the ACC meet in a primetime matchup.
Clemson is a -14.5 betting favorite, with the over/under total of 48. Those odds imply a 31-17 win for the Tigers. FSU fans have little to no confidence they will pull off the upset and would probably take that score if you could guarantee it right now after getting embarrassed by SMU last week.
FSU fans have starting focusing on the future and are interested in what redshirt the freshman quarterback Brock Glenn will do in his third career start now that DJ Uiaglalei is on the sidelines with an injury.
FSU will likely play several young guys who got into the game last week. Landen Thomas at tight end, Lawayne McKoy at wide receiver, and Kam Davis would be some young players to watch for. Clemson has rebounded well after getting blown out by Georgia. They have scored 40+ points in the last three games. Oddsmakers have this game closer than it should be for some reason.
Here are three bold predictions for the game.
