FSU football: 2025 QB commit Tramell Jones issues statement on injury and FSU support
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football fans are looking for anything positive nowadays after an unexpected 0-2 start to the 2024 season. One of the biggest concerns is can the Noles hold its high school recruiting class together with how things look after the first two games. FSU has 13 commits, which ranks No. 18 nationally. One of those commits is four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. The Mandarin High School quarterback from Jacksonville, Florida, got injured recently (it's a broken foot reportedly) and will miss some time. However, he took to his social media account to provide a health update and to show support for FSU football after the 0-2 start:
FSU will likely need all the help they can get on the recruiting front, especially if things don't improve on the field. There were already a few FSU commits who looked to be on shaky ground even before the loss to Boston College, and I'm sure how the team looked on Monday night did nothing to quell those things. The quarterback position is important obviously, as all of the recent down years coincided with poor quarterback play(among other things). Tramell Jones is a talented player who has shown tremendous growth in his development over the past year or so. FSU has two young and talented quarterbacks on the roster, and keeping Jones committed would be important for the future. It'll be interesting to see how recruiting goes over the next few weeks. FSU will have a bye week, so the coaches may have an opportunity to communicate with the commits to see where everyone stands. Nevertheless, it's good to see a talented player in an important position supporting the program.
