FSU football: 2025 4-star QB commit Tramell Jones Jr. named Class 4M Player of the Year
FSU football is starting to pick up positive momentum for their 2025 recruiting class as four-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville (FL) pledged to the Seminoles on Friday afternoon.
Florida State has the 16th-best recruiting class in the 2025 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite. The Seminoles have three highly-touted prospects in the fold at this time in four-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas, four-star linebacker Ethan Pritchard, and four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr.
The coaching staff is doing a fantastic job of evaluating talent earlier on in the recruiting process. A prime example of this statement is four-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville (FL).
The Mandarin High School standout has been pledged to the Seminoles since April 1st. Florida State first offered the talented signal caller back on July 30, 2022. While the coaching staff knew that Jones Jr. needed to develop his skill set, the Seminoles saw potential in his dual-threat ability. It certainly helps that he will hopefully have a fellow Jacksonville (FL) native blocking for him in four-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas.
The coaching staff has already shown that it can evaluate quarterbacks where they offered four-star signee Luke Kromenhoek before he was even named a starting quarterback at Benedictine Military School in Savannah (GA). It looks as though they found a "diamond in the rough" with four-star commit Tramell Jones Jr., who is the Class 4M Player of the Year.
It seems as though Jones Jr. will continue to develop his skill set. The future at the quarterback position certainly looks to be bright as signal callers such as Luke Kromenhoek, Brock Glenn, and Tramell Jones Jr. (if he signs with the Seminoles) will all be battling for starting opportunities in the near future.
Props to head football coach Mike Norvell and quarterbacks coach Tony Tokarz for finding talented quarterback prospects.
