I can't blame them.

How does a coaching staff go 23-4 over two years and have one of the most talented teams in the country, only to lose to four teams with inferior talent? A major part of the issue is they made a mistake with the transfer portal quarterback they took. DJ Uiagalelei hasn't played anywhere near the level most thought he would after a solid year at Oregon State in 2023. However, every part of the team except the punter and placekicker has been a disappointment.

The offensive line was supposed to be a strength. They lack physicality and play soft. FSU has zero running game, except the few times Lawrance Toafili makes something happen. The tight ends are atrocious, and Kyle Morlock should never step on the field again after another drop cost FSU in a key moment in the third quarter against SMU. The wide receivers haven't been much better, as they struggle to get open and rarely make contested catches. This FSU offense is the worst offense I've seen. It's worse than the 2018 team.

The defense isn't perfect, but the offense gives them NO shot to win games. SMU scored 42 points, and the offense was responsible for at least 14 because of turnovers. Mike Norvell's supposed to be an offensive guru and his offense is the worst part of the team.
