FSU baseball moved to 13-0 behind a 15-7 series-clinching win over New Orleans Saturday night. It's the fifth time in history they've reached this mark. The Noles jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first two innings behind hits from James Tibbs, Daniel Cantu, Alex Lodise, Cam Smith, and Drew Faurot. Jaime Ferrer chipped in with a RBI sacrifice fly. However, New Orleans would not go quietly into the night, tagging Yoel Tejada and Noah Short for five runs (three earned), trimming the lead to 7-6 going into the bottom of the sixth. However, the FSU offense cranked back up, scoring on an Alex Lodise sacrifice bunt and a double from DeAmez Ross in the bottom frame.

The seventh inning was the death blow behind home runs from Jaime Ferrer and Cam Smith and a two-RBI single from Ross. Ross, Tibbs, and Lodise had two hits and combined for five RBI. Cam Smith went 3-5 with four RBI, and Jaime Ferrer had two RBI. Ferrer has hit a home run in four consecutive games. FSU has 15 total hits and only left three men on base in the game. The pitching staff used several arms, with Andrew Armstrong getting the win, pitching two innings, allowing three hits, zero walks, and three strikeouts. Tejada pitched an inning, allowing an earned run, walking one, and striking out one. Brennan Oxford pitched two innings, allowing three hits, one earned run, one walk, and three strikeouts.

Conner Dorsey pitched 2.1 innings, allowing three hits, one earned run, one walk, and two strikeouts. Joe Charles pitched a scoreless ninth and struck out one batter. The Noles will go for the series sweep on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET. The game will air on ACCNX, or fans can listen via the radio at WFLA 100.7 FM.
