FSU baseball is petty, eliminating more ACC teams at MCWS than the SEC

It's no secret the FSU Seminoles have a lawsuit against the ACC in hopes of leaving the conference within the next two years. The lawsuit is mostly due to college football, but all sports are affected by payouts and the revenue generated by TV contracts. For whatever reason, fans of other ACC schools laughed at FSU for their stance of demanding more money or leaving the conference. I suppose they thought FSU was bluffing because they all thought the ACC's Grant of Rights was "ironclad" and would keep FSU in the ACC through at least 2036. Well, that doesn't look like it'll be the case as the lawsuit continues to go through the courts. Weirdly, the Men's College World Series seemed to band some ACC schools together, with four making it to Omaha, along with four SEC schools. I've seen some fans of other ACC schools root for FSU when they were playing Tennessee in the MCWS opener. However, you won't find any FSU fans rooting for other ACC schools. Well, maybe if one's playing Florida, but it's more about Florida losing than rooting for the ACC school.

Ironically, FSU has eliminated more ACC schools thus far than the four SEC teams combined. FSU eliminated the Virginia Cavaliers on Sunday in a 7-3 win and eliminated the ACC regular season champions North Carolina Tarheels 9-5 on Tuesday afternoon. They are the lone ACC school remaining and will have to beat the No. 1 overall seed Tennessee Volunteers twice to advance to the finals. FSU blew an 11-8 lead in the bottom of the ninth, which got help from the umpires when they blew a call that would have ended the game with an FSU win. Nevertheless, they'll get their chance at redemption on Wednesday afternoon. I'm some Virginia or North Carolina fan who would have had something to say if they eliminated the Noles. It's funny that FSU is suing the conference and beating up all ACC teams they face in the MCWS. I don't think it can get any more petty than that! If you're a fan of another ACC school, remember, FSU fans don't root for the ACC, only FSU.
