FSU baseball (46-15) was as efficient as a team could be hosting the Tallahassee Regional as the No. 8 overall seed. The Noles defeated Stetson 7-2 in its opening game to move to the winner's bracket and defeated UCF in its second game to move to the regional championships before defeating UCF for a second time to clinch a spot in the Super Regionals. One of the biggest questions going into the regional was FSU's starting pitching. Should they start Jamie Arnold in game one? The bullpen has been somewhat shaky this season. Injuries and inexperience showed their face earlier this year, and things could go sideways if everything isn't working in sync.

However, FSU has been one of the best offensive teams all year, so the hope was the Noles could outslug teams if they had to. FSU was the most complete team in its regional. They statistically had the best offense and defense overall. That played out in the games as No. 2 seed Alabama got shut out by Stetson. Stetson and UCF struggled to score runs, themselves, but their pitching was solid. It was one of the more difficult regionals, but FSU made it look relatively easy, despite the offense not playing up to its full potential most of the time. Here are four major takeaways from winning the Tallahassee Regional.
