Former FSU QB Jordan Travis seen working out after last year's season-ending injury
Florida State football team had a special 2023 season where it accomplished an undefeated regular season and a conference championship. Several contributors had a massive impact on their successes such as quarterback Jordan Travis.
Unfortunately, the College Football Playoff committee elected to not include an undefeated Florida State team in favor of a one-loss Alabama squad. The committee suggested that the Seminoles' problem for not being included in the playoff was due to the season-ending injury that Travis suffered on Senior Night in Doak Campbell Stadium versus North Alabama in November.
The veteran signal-caller meant everything to this university. The former Louisville transfer was thought to not be an effective thrower of the football where some fans thought that he could not throw a downfield pass that traveled past 15 yards.
The recovery process was certainly a mental and physical hurdle that the quarterback is going to have to face. As I alluded to in a previous article, Travis planned to visit the New York Jets soon. NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero posted a video of the quarterback training in Jacksonville on Friday.
It is so wonderful to see Travis continuing to work as he faces a variety of adversities in dealing with the injury. However, as head football coach Mike Norvell states, how will the quarterback respond to what life has offered?
The 2024 NFL Draft will take place on Thursday, April 25th in Detroit, Michigan. It is a question mark to suggest that the veteran quarterback will be a high-rated draft pick. I believe that Travis will make the most of his opportunity and will work tirelessly to ensure that his dreams and aspirations are accomplished.
With Travis being in the league, he will be a fan favorite and several individuals will keep up with him as navigates through his professional playing career.
