EA Sports has released the news that the College Football 25 video game will be released on July 19th (July 16th with early access). This video game series is highly anticipated since they haven't had it since 2013.

Florida State football is ranked as an 83 overall offense in the video. I get that most of the general college football audience does not analyze the Seminoles like most of their fan base does, but it sure seems low. FSU averaged more points than Clemson, Colorado, and Miami last year. Here is what myself and ChopChat's Kelvin Hunt think the offensive overall rating should be:

Taylor Devers: 87 OVR

Kelvin Hunt: 90 OVR

I get it... head football coach Mike Norvell will have his work cut out for him as he will have to replace the likes of quarterback Jordan Travis, running back Trey Benson, wide receivers Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman, and tight end Jaheim Bell.

I am not suggesting that a combination of quarterback DJ Uiagalelei, running backs Roydell Williams and Jaylin Lucas, wide receivers Malik Benson and Jalen Brown as well as offensive linemen TJ Ferguson and Richie Leonard IV will be enough to replicate an undefeated regular season and a conference championship.

However, this a Seminoles' football program that just knows how to win with having a combined 23-4 record over the past two seasons. Norvell has transformed this offense into something special. This isn't meant to be a "rebuilding" year for Florida State, it is a "retooling" year.

Previously, Norvell's offenses historically know how to score and move the football at an efficient rate. I am excited to see how this Florida State offense does against their opponents in 2024. I know that they are ready to prove the doubters wrong as they look to continue their sustainable success as a program.
