Florida State football ranks as the seventeenth-best 2025 recruiting class in the 247Sports Composite rankings. The Seminoles have several offensive superstars in its class:

Five-star IOL Solomon Thomas

Four-star QB Tramell Jones Jr.

Four-star WR CJ Wiley

Four-star WR Daylan McCutcheon

Four-star WR Malik Clark

Four-star TE Chase Loftin

Four-star IOL Peyton Joseph

The coaching staff has a nice foundation set on the offensive side of the football. Head football coach Mike Norvell has made it a habit of finding ways to secure great athletes who fit the culture and will put points on the scoreboard.

The Seminoles have a combined 23-4 record over the past two seasons so the strategy has been wildly successful recently. There are still recruiting targets on the board as the season inches closer and closer to being here.

One target that I am keeping my eyes on is four-star running back Ousmane Kromah from Lee County High School in Leesburg, Georgia. I understand that I feel good about the Seminoles' chances of landing four-star target Byron Louis from American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, but Kromah could be a special talent.

Kromah is the 83rd-best prospect in the entire 2025 recruiting cycle according to the 247Sports Composite. He unofficially visited the Seminoles on Saturday afternoon. It is noteworthy that the talented back has made it known that Florida State is a school he adores.

The Lee County High School standout officially visited the Seminoles during the June 7th weekend instead of the massive June 23rd weekend (he officially visited Georgia). After he visited Tallahassee early Saturday afternoon, he took a trip to Auburn for its recruiting event.

Kromah is down to four schools in his recruitment: Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida State. It will be a race to the finish. I would personally be worried about the home-state Bulldogs, but the Auburn Tigers have been catching fire with commitments after their recruiting event.

I would love for the Seminoles to take both Louis and Kromah in the recruitment with current players such as Roydell Williams, Lawrance Toafili, and Caziah Holmes graduating after the 2024 season. However, I believe that it could be like a Chase Loftin-Hollis Davidson situation where the coaching staff could only take one back and then venture the transfer portal for the other running back.
