Florida State currently has one offensive lineman committed to its 2024 recruiting class in five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida. Even though Thomas took a recent trip to Tallahassee, his recruitment could still be up in the air with the program.

The talented offensive lineman spoke to a variety of media members at the end of his Florida State visit and stated that he felt at home at Florida State compared to other schools. He also told them that his commitment status was firm with the Seminoles. Even though the Raines High School standout is visiting arch-rival Miami Hurricanes this weekend, it is thought that he is safe for now.

As fans know the recruitment process is ever-changing and teenagers are making one of the most important decisions when it comes to their futures. Even though Thomas is committed to Florida State, offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins would like to acquire at least two more pieces in the position unit.

This is because massive contributors such as Maurice Smith, Robert Scott Jr., Keiondre Jones, Jeremiah Byers, and Darius Washington are graduating after the 2024 season.

We already talked about four-star offensive tackle target Ziyare Addison from Sumner High School in Riverview, Florida that the Seminoles are heavily interested in. Another highly-prioritized offensive lineman target Max Buchanan from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida announced via social media that his top six schools list will be coming soon.

Buchanan is a high school teammate with four-star linebacker commit Ethan Pritchard from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida. The four-star offensive lineman is scheduled to officially visit Florida State on the weekend of June 7th. He has several schools involved in his recruitment such as UCF (May 17), Clemson (May 31), Miami (June 14), and Penn State (June 21).

The coaching staff will have to do its best to secure the talented prospect. It is important to note that the offensive lineman visited the Seminoles on March 23rd so the program is putting its best foot forward. In my eyes, I feel like Florida State might not have enough in the tank to land Buchanan at this time.
