Florida State football had a successful weekend at the 2024 NFL Draft where several players were selected. That is a huge recruiting tool that the coaching staff can utilize on the trail.

One particular prospect that slid more than individuals thought was wide receiver Keon Coleman, who was selected with the 33rd overall pick by the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills have an amazing signal-caller in Josh Allen who can stretch the field vertically in the passing game. However, they will have to find viable options to replace Stefon Diggs who was traded this offseason.

Coleman is exceptional with high-pointing the football. His athleticism was off the charts as he consistently made tough catches during his only season in Tallahassee in 2023. While the big-bodied playmaker showcased flashes of being elite, there were questions raised about his speed since he ran a 4.61 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.

While I believe that 40-yard dash times are a bit overrated, it was surprising to see that he did not run around the 4.4s. Regardless, the Bills decided to take a chance on him when they knew his game speed was fantastic.

Coleman had a great introductory interview with the Bills' media team where he talked about his yellow jacket from Macy's and even took a cookie with him after his interview.

Fans were having fun with the hilarious moments on social media. It was also interesting to hear that Coleman stated that quarterback Josh Allen texted him after the draft and told him that he was the guy that he wanted. That is big praise for the rookie out of Florida State.

It is difficult to figure out how rookie wide receivers will be utilized in the offense since they are usually getting acclimated to the professional game. Nonetheless, I hope that the former Michigan State transfer will be a huge part of the Bills organization.
