Florida State football continues to have sellouts for their home games inside Doak Campbell Stadium. The excitement stems from having an undefeated regular season and a conference championship in 2023 even though the College Football Playoff excluded them from competing for a national championship.

The Seminoles brought in several newcomers which are headlined by signal-caller DJ Uiagalelei. Florida State's 2024 version will be looking to prove the doubters wrong. I expect fans to give the College Gameday a "warm welcome" in Ireland when the Seminoles take on Georgia Tech.

On Tuesday afternoon, Florida State football announced that their home game versus the Memphis Tigers has been sold out. Doak Campbell Stadium has now sold out five home games: Memphis (September 14), California (September 21), Clemson (October 5), North Carolina (November 2), and Florida (November 30).

I realize that the stadium is undergoing renovations and the capacity is limited for the 2024 season. The construction will be completed before the 2025 season opener versus the Alabama Crimson Tide (the Seminoles need to get their revenge on them).

It will be easier to fill the stadium with the limited capacity. However, it is great to see Seminole fans bought into the squad even though it is a completely different team from a season ago and the construction will be a bit of a headache.

This will be a difficult game for Florida State when they take on Memphis. For starters, this is head football coach Mike Norvell's former team that he guided. Plus, the Seminoles will be coming off a bye week after playing the Boston College Eagles at home on Labor Day Night.

Memphis has a high-powered offense that the Seminoles need to pay attention. Florida State fans will also have to worry about it being a noon kickoff (get your fans ready... it will be a hot one in the Tallahassee sun). A sleepy kickoff versus a good offense could be a nightmare scenario. The Seminoles need all of the fan support that they can get.
