Florida State has already added a talented option in their offensive line rotation with five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville, Florida committed in the fold.

However, the coaching staff is looking for more options to secure in their recruiting class. While four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison four-star interior offensive lineman Mario Nash Jr., and four-star interior offensive lineman Dontrell Glover are realistic targets on their board, the Seminoles are continuing to look to expand their options.

One more prospect to monitor is five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty from Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Georgia. According to On3's Chad Simmons, Petty will be taking an unofficial visit to Florida State on March 29th.

The coaching staff is continuing to convince several highly-touted prospects in Tallahassee for their Legacy Weekend event. While Florida State is ranked as the 15th-best recruiting class in the 2025 cycle, the Seminoles are looking to add recruits to generate momentum heading into the spring game in April.

As it relates to Petty, he has some tough competition that involves teams such as Clemson, Georgia Tech, Georgia, and Auburn. The talented offensive lineman is the 24th-best prospect in the 2025 cycle according to 247Sports.

The Georgia native has not been visiting Tallahassee during his recruiting process. As a result, the coaching staff must make a great impression for Petty to consider coming back for a trip in the summer for their Elite Camp.

As it relates to the last couple of recruiting cycles, the Seminoles have had it a priority to obtain talent in the states of Florida and Georgia. Offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has a tremendous eye for locating talent and relating to recruits on a personal level. It would be a massive win if Florida State was able to get Petty in the recruiting class.
