CB GREGORY XAVIER THOMAS

Florida State defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has showcased his recruiting prowess during his tenure with the Seminoles as he secured four prospects in the 2024 cycle with Charles Lester III, Cai Bates, Jamari Howard, and Ricky Knight III.

As it pertains to the 2025 class, Florida State currently does not have a defensive back committed yet. One prospect that should be heavily monitored is four-star cornerback Gregory Xavier Thomas from American Heritage High School in Plantation, Florida. He will be visiting this weekend.

Thomas has four crystal ball predictions in favor of the Seminoles and has visited Tallahassee on several occasions. Even though he is listed as a cornerback, his size allows him to be versatile where he can also be utilized at the safety position.

Considering that Surtain Sr. was the former head football coach at American Heritage High School, the connections within that school are familiar. Florida State has set itself up nicely with the talented defender.
