Florida State football is shaping up to have a massive close to the end of June as the Seminoles want to transform their 38th-best recruiting class into something special. Florida State has not secured a pledge since January when four-star defensive end Javion Hilson de-committed from Alabama.

However, that does not mean that the coaching staff is just giving up on their efforts. Recruiting is an ever-changing game that involves teenagers making one of the most important decisions of their lives.

Florida State is setting the table up nicely for their summer visits. They are using the weekend of June 21st to emphasize many prospects coming to campus. They have all four commitments visiting that weekend to put their recruiting hats on.

Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has always been regarded as one of the best recruiters on the coaching staff. Atkins relates well with younger prospects where he points out ways that they can improve their game and get better.

While most coaches across the country want to highlight only the good things a prospect can do, it is always important to showcase their weaknesses and how the coaching can improve them in that regard. Atkins isn't afraid to provide insight to their games.

When discussing the final recruiting weekend of June, Atkins will have all hands on deck as he has five uncommitted prospects coming to campus such as five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood, five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty, four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph, four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison, and four-star interior offensive lineman Dontrell Glover.

In terms of prospects who I feel could be leaning toward Florida State, I believe that Joseph and Glover are the two recruits to monitor in this cycle. It would also be wise to keep track on Addison as well.

Overall, Atkins has everything going in his favor in their recruiting cycle. It is time for him to close the deal on these recruitments.
