Florida State has not secured a wide receiver prospect in their 2025 recruiting cycle at this time. However, it seems to be reasonable to expect that wide receivers coach Ron Dugans will get at least 2-3 playmakers so that quarterback commit Tramell Jones Jr. has options to throw to.
While his teammate (five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench Jr.) remains to be a top priority, the Ohio Buckeyes are continuing to push heavily in that recruitment to pursue him to go to Columbus. As a result, the Seminoles are attempting to expand their recruiting target board for other options.
One name that could be monitored is four-star Marcus Harris from Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. The talented wide receiver is considered the 10th-best at his position according to 247Sports. According to a report from On3's Chad Simmons, he will be taking a visit to Tallahassee on March 23rd.
Will be a very busy spring for Harris. Outside of the UF visit, he tells On3 these are set:

FSU March 23
Tennessee April 4th
Bama April 6th
Ole miss April 9th
Texas AM April 16th
Texas April 18th
Oregon April 23rd https://t.co/rU90256JGn
It is great to see that Harris will be attending the Seminoles' Legacy Day event where there will be a multitude of former Florida State players coming to Tallahassee on that day. The coaching staff is trying to get several of its top targets to come to the event.
Harris' recruitment is jam-packed with a variety of visits. While the Seminoles do set the tone with the first visit of the spring, he has trips scheduled to Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, Texas, and Oregon.
There used to be fans who criticized the recruiting ability of wide receivers coach Ron Dugans. However, that notion has quickly shifted considering that Dugans has brought in several talented recruits and transfers to Tallahassee.
Texas looks to be in the best position to land Harris at this time given how many times that he has visited their campus. However, it is great to see Florida State throw their "hat" into the ring for his services.
