Florida State's coaching staff hosted several recruits on campus this weekend. In case you missed my tidbits article on each prospect, be sure to click here.

There are bound to be fireworks that will occur with the massive recruiting weekend since there are several of them that have crystal ball predictions in favor of the Seminoles. Florida State is ranked as the 70th-best recruiting class in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

The fan base is searching for the program to have success on the recruiting trail. It is easy to look at arch-rivals Florida and Miami and get discouraged because they are getting recruits and Florida State isn't right now. Especially when the Seminoles have been a much better program as of late.

While Florida State must acquire prospects into their class, it is also vital that the Seminoles keep who they have in the fold as well. Our very own Kelvin Hunt recently wrote an article talking about his thoughts on the situation with four-star quarterback commit Tramell Jones Jr.

As most know, the arch-rival Florida Gators have been floating around in the talking points with the talented signal-caller. However, Jones Jr. has remained firm in his pledge with the Seminoles. Even though recruiting is ever-changing, the Mandarin High School standout has been loyal to the coaching staff.

When departing from Tallahassee, Jones Jr. told various media members that he was still recruiting for the Seminoles and that his recruitment would be final next week.

The quarterback has competed in the Elite 11 Finals and has played like a superstar on his 7v7 team, South Florida Express. His 7v7 teammate (four-star wide receiver Vernell "Trey" Brown III) was with him on the official visit to Tallahassee. Brown III has been trending to the Florida Gators since his father played with the university in the early 2000s.

However, that has not stopped Jones Jr. from putting on his recruiting hat for the university. Just imagine the "Tramell to Vernell" connection. Let's hope that the #VB3ToTally hype is real!
