4-star OL target Dontrell Glover names FSU the leader in his recruitment
FSU football has already started off on the right foot in the 2025 recruiting cycle where they have secured the commitment of five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas from Raines High School in Jacksonville (FL).
However, the coaching staff wants to continue bringing in high-caliber targets for the position. We already discussed about the possibility of acquiring four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison from Sumner High School in Riverview (FL).
There is another target to monitor in four-star interior offensive lineman Dontrell Glover from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn (GA), who completed an unofficial visit this past weekend with Florida State where he also received a scholarship offer.
The talented offensive lineman de-committed from the Alabama Crimson Tide on January 16th. There have been quite a bit of prospects within Alabama's recruiting class to re-open their recruitment after legendary head football coach Nick Saban retired.
It seems as though head football coach Mike Norvell and his coaching staff are taking it personally with the Crimson Tide after the College Football Playoff committee did not allow the Seminoles to participate in the playoff after placing a one-loss Alabama team at the No. 4 spot over Florida State.
As it pertains to Glover, he recently spoke to On3 National Recruiting Analyst Phillip Dukes where he named Florida State the leader of his recruitment.
This would be a massive acquisition for Atkins and company as they look to replace the likes of players such as Maurice Smith, Darius Washington, and Keiondre Jones after the 2024 season. Glover is considered the tenth-best interior offensive lineman in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
It is a bit surprising that Glover has already named FSU his leader after being recently offered. However, if the Seminoles were able to obtain five-star Solomon Thomas, four-star Ziyare Addison, and four-star Dontrell Glover, that would be a great trio to build upon for the future foundation of the program.
