4-star LB target Tavion Wallace considers FSU a top-three school in recruitment
Florida State currently has one linebacker prospect committed to their 2025 recruiting cycle in four-star Ethan Pritchard from Seminole High School in Sanford, Florida. However, the coaching staff would like to acquire more prospects for the position.
One prospect that I would like to monitor closely is four-star Tavion Wallace from Wayne County High School in Jesup, Georgia. Wallace is considered the 50th-best prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
This would be a monumental pickup for Florida State as linebackers coach Randy Shannon looks prepared to showcase his recruiting prowess. Wallace decided to take an unofficial visit with the Seminoles on Thursday as they conducted their spring practice.
The talented linebacker prospect spoke with the media as he was leaving the unofficial visit in Tallahassee. Two aspects that were important to note from the interview were that Wallace will announce his commitment after his official visits this summer and that his top three schools right now are Florida State, Georgia, and Florida.
The Seminoles currently have an official visit scheduled for the Wayne County High School standout for June 14th. He also has trips scheduled to Arkansas (May 31), Georgia (June 7), and South Carolina (June 21). It is worth mentioning that the linebacker has a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Seminoles.
The Seminoles want to replenish their linebacker room with other talented pieces. Florida State is tasked with the challenge of replacing the likes of veterans Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune, which is already difficult enough.
I cannot wait to see how Florida State finishes this recruitment with Wallace. This is a massive need for the program if the program wants to consistently recruit at a top-ten level. Will linebackers coach Randy Shannon and company be up to the challenge of battling the likes of Florida and Georgia for the blue-chip prospect?
