4-star IOL commit Peyton Joseph trolls the arch-rival Florida Gators
Florida State has been having major success on the football field versus their arch-rivals, the Miami Hurricanes and the Florida Gators, where they have accomplished the state championship in the last two years.
While the Seminoles have not had a better recruiting ranking over both rivals, they have showcased the ability to showcase their on-field product. Florida State has a combined 23-4 record over the past two seasons. It is difficult to argue with success but Miami and Florida football fans continue to run their mouths when the Hurricanes finished 7-6 while the Gators finished 5-7.
Both of these programs aren't worthy of the time or effort to discuss with the kings of the state. Speaking of the Gators, they already have an uphill battle during the 2024 season where their month of November is very difficult (to say the least). Head football coach Billy Napier will be lucky if he doesn't get his walking papers by late October.
Overall, the Gators did not get any commitments on July 4th while the Seminoles and Hurricanes did. To make matters worse, four-star interior offensive lineman commit Peyton Joseph from Houston County High School in Warner Robins, Georgia trolled Florida with a "5-7" record joke.
Joseph de-committed from the Florida Gators back in April and immediately received crystal ball predictions in favor of Florida State. It helped that he had the family connection with current offensive lineman TJ Ferguson and his relationship with offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins.
Plus, it isn't a guarantee that Florida's coaching staff will remain intact at the end of the 2024 season. The Gators' fanbase is getting a little bit frustrated with the fact that Joseph stated about the 5-7 record from a year ago where some individuals were saying that the talented offensive lineman was dropped from the Gators' recruiting class.
Joseph dismissed the troll attempts by stating that Florida State was now his home. I am so excited to have him and five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas in the fold. Hopefully, the Seminoles will be able to get five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty committed on August 12th.
