3 impact players for Florida State football's road matchup versus SMU
RB LAWRANCE TOAFILI
Florida State's offense has been stagnant. The Seminoles have dealt with disappointing outcomes offensively. If you had told me that a Mike Norvell offense would struggle severely and be one of the worst units in the country, I would not have believed you.
With DJ Uiagalelei's struggles on the field this season, the offense is lacking dynamic playmakers who can create a game-changing moment in the open field. It could give him the confidence to play more freely.
Most individuals thought that the running game would be a strength for the Florida State Seminoles. The coaching staff added Alabama's Roydell Williams and Indiana's Jaylin Lucas. Williams is out for an extended time while it was announced that Lucas suffered a season-ending injury.
Veteran back Lawrance Toafili had 17 carries for 80 yards and one touchdown in the California victory. One worry that I originally had about Toafili was how he run through the tackles. However, him and true freshman Kam Davis did an excellent job.
I am excited to see how he responds to that performance.
