SPEED ON OFFENSE

Florida State is having to replace the likes of Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson, and Jaheim Bell on the offensive side of the football. That is not even mentioning the fact that they lose pieces such as Jordan Travis and Trey Benson as well.

The offense will have to find a new identity by acquiring transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei. While I am not suggesting that the offense will be better than a season ago, I do think that it helps to have a veteran signal-caller who has played a ton of collegiate football.

The former Clemson and Oregon State transfer possesses the ability to showcase his strong arm and pocket presence. One effective method in being able to show off the arm is having speed on the outside. Florida State did just that this offseason where they added pieces such as Jaylin Lucas and Malik Benson who are burners in the open field.

I cannot wait to see how head football coach Mike Norvell and offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins scheme up the offense to get these guys open.
