2024 NFL Draft: Which Noles could hear their name called in 4th-7th rounds?
By Kelvin Hunt
FSU football fans had themselves a night on Friday, and several FSU players came off the board in the second and third rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft. It was a celebration for Keon Coleman, Braden Fiske, Renardo Green, Trey Benson, and Jarrian Jones, as other rival fans had to wait for hours before one Miami player finally got drafted late in the third round. FSU has six players selected in the top 100 picks. A lot of receipts got pulled on social media, but the fun should continue on Saturday afternoon with several draft-eligible Noles remaining on the board. The 4th-7th rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft will begin Saturday at noon, and I'd expect quite a few of these remaining guys to hear their names called:
- Johnny Wilson
- Jaheim Bell
- Jordan Travis
- Kalen DeLoach
- Akeem Dent
- Fabien Lovett
- Tatum Bethune
The 2024 NFL Draft tracker for FSU players is here if you can't watch the draft in real time and want to stay updated on who goes where. There's a lot of value remaining with these players. I think whoever takes Johnny Wilson and Akeem Dent is getting steals at this point. Jordan Travis and Jaheim Bell would be worth taking a flier on with the right team.
I've said it before, getting drafted in the late rounds isn't always the best situation. I know it sounds great to hear a player got drafted, but sometimes signing as a UDFA(Undrafted Free Agent) is more lucrative money-wise. It also allows the player to take control and sign with whoever they believe is the best fit, with the highest chance of making the roster. This NFL Draft has been a great shot in the arm for FSU football, and should negate much of the negative recruiting some teams have tried to use against the Noles in past years.
