Who could it be!

FSU football coaches have been on a tear since the beginning of June, adding 13 commitments and flirting with a top-10 class.

FSU landed its biggest commitment on Sunday when five-star cornerback Chauncey Kennon committed to FSU over Florida, Miami, and Georgia.

FSU has several blue-chip recruiting targets remaining, and popular recruiting commitment editor Hayes Fawcett teased that FSU could land another big-time recruitment on his social media page on Monday night:

I wrote about five blue-chip recruiting targets remaining(including Kennon), which leaves FSU with four more remaining. A few targets have commitment dates set for July 12th, and Fawcett will hint that a program is about to go on a recruiting run a few days before the recruits make their announcements.

However, this could be someone who plans to commit out of the blue between Monday night and the next few days.

FSU has a major need at the offensive line position and defensive end position. The tease makes me think it's someone on the offensive line since both remaining targets are blue-chip caliber players.

FSU has two offensive line commitments and another that is a project at either offensive or defensive line. The offensive line unit is arguably the unit most responsible for the offensive collapse we saw in 2024. New FSU offensive line coach Herb Hand has done a solid job on the recruiting trail but has yet to land blue-chip offensive linemen in this 2026 recruiting cycle. I think that's the position group that would get the fan base most excited right now, especially if it's a blue-chip player.

Fawcett usually only teases things like this when it's a player who will move the needle in some capacity. FSU has the No. 11 recruiting class nationally, and another blue-chip player would slide them back into the top 10 for now. Now, we sit and wait for the drama to unfold.
